Upon completion, the student will have gained the ability to:

• use an array of bowing techniques

• enhanced dexterity and finger placement on the instrument

• understand different key signatures and music scores

This package will provide a solid foundation in the basics of playing the instrument, proper posture and techniques for playing, including finger positions and body alignment. You will also learn how to read sheet music, including notes, clefs, and key signatures, and begin developing your bowing technique, including legato, staccato.

• perform a variety of minuets and etudes.

• execute consistent and accurate bowing technique 

• recognising and identifying notes without numerical aids.
